Loaf of Bread Day

Goodness gracious, its been awhile, bloggie.

The other day was what I call a 'loaf of bread day.' A day where its an emotional roller coaster and towards my 7th hour Biology class, it crashes and bursts into flames. The day started of absolutely horrid. I woke up late, threw on some weirdsville sweater and some fake glasses to hide my sleepy makeup-less face and headed of to my doom. I got to school. Ew. I could tell this was definitely a 'loaf' day. First hour started out promising. I talked to some friends and started calming down and getting happier. Then, through each class my happiness was leaving on a nice, long vacation while my frustrated anger set in. Awful. Bad test score, tripped down the stairs (which would've been hilarious, but under the circumstances), and then someone in my 6th hour class saw me take off my glasses to scratch the top of my nose, and immediately exclaimed, "Wow, Alison you look so old!" Just loud enough for people to hear, look, and gasp as well. Thanks guys, appreciate it. But it's the past. Who cares if I look old? I'm 5'11'' for crying out loud! Then, the crash. 7th hour was a thousand degrees, or so it seemed. I couldn't take it. The process of Mitosis and Cytokinesis would have to wait. I started bawling. Then I figured this was no way to act, and I needed to get control of my emotions and stop acting like some emotionally unstable attention-sucking fourteen year old girl. But no, I only managed to burst into a fit of hysterical laughter. So embarrassing, I'm getting all red with embarrassment just thinking about it. Finally, I got home, where I released all of my feelings and everything that had happened to my lovely mother. It was done. The day was through. To satisfy myself for once that day, I found a loaf of banana bread and ate the whole thing. Hence a 'loaf of bread day.'

In case you don't know what the USU Robin's Awards are, here is some more information. My father was nominated for Faculty Advisor of the Year. Usually the Robin's Awards is a classy, formal dinner, but for some reason this year, there was no dinner.We were very disappointed. My dad didn't win, but we know he already has the 'Best Dad Ever' award!

February Happenings

We celebrated my mother's birthday on the 7th of February. My mom was so happy all day and we finished the whole night off with a great brownie cake that Audrey made.

My friend, Sadie Anderson and I sluffed school* and hung out at my house. We had a special lunch, which included spicy chicken with noodles, glasses of sparkling Pomegranate 7up, and of course, candles. It was splendid.

(*Don't worry, school didn't matter that day!)

My mom made some yummy fish and chips that we enjoyed on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Reading this post, I have realized food is a REALLY big part of my life. But that's okay, because I enjoy being a foodie and eating yummy things.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving.

-we woke up

-drove MJ to her parents house (she stayed over Wednesday night)

-went to Lee's Marketplace and got 'supplies' for breakfast

-made french toast and it was great

-went sledding

Side story: On our last run of sledding, Erin hurt her knee. At first it was just hurting, but then she realized something was wrong because she couldn't move it that much. She went to the hospital after a quick Priesthood blessing, and it was found that she tore her MCL. Erin came home with crutches and a brace. It's a THANKSGIVING MIRACLE.

-we watched "White Christmas" because Aubrey had never seen it

I cannot watch scary movies ever because they become a reality. Everything becomes real and I cannot sleep by myself that night and for many days after I have watched the movie every corner there is going to be some creepy man there. UGH.

I watched Wait Until Dark on Friday night. I just about died. Oh my gosh. Scariest thing ever.

I climbed Timpanogos

On Saturday I climbed Mt. Timpanogos. It was probably the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. BUT I loved it. Rocks, blistering feet, weird people & their dogs, poison ivy and heat all mixed with an amazing view, jolly people, and fun. Russ and Aubs invited us to go with them. They had gone previously and invited us to go and share the joy.

Bad Day

Friday was turning out to be an awesome day. Had a good grade on my test, I was wearing a cool outfit, it was a good day. Then I went to gym. I usually love gym but I didn't like it after what happened. I sprinted into the wall. Idiot, I know. I felt fine. Then all of my friends told me I was bleeding. I went to the bathroom and had a huge gaping wound. It was just a cut on my chin. Dang. I got a band-aid and then came back to the gym where everyone was playing volleyball. I joined a team and started playing. Then I went to hit it and the volleyball hit my middle finger and bent it all the way backwards. It felt broken but whatever. Then a boy who was more similar to bigfoot than a human being, hit me in the face at the top of my nose. The place where it makes your eyes immediately start watering so it looks like your bawling. Hate that. Then towards the end of class leaving the gym I got a volleyball to the back of my head. It was a good day.

I've had fun.

Fall! Winter!

Okay. As some of you may already know, I love fall and winter. Don't get me wrong though. I love spring and summer. It's just I love fall and winter more. Because of these 3 reasons:

1. The clothing is sweet. ( Sweaters, hats, boots, etc.)

2. Holidays, such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

3. And I love being in my pajamas, holding a mug of hot chocolate, watching a movie, while a blizzard is happening. JOY.

Even though I have to wait a couple more months for my JOY, I am already preparing.

Okay, as many of you know, I am a lover of shoes. My feet haven't stopped growing since 3rd Grade and now I am a size 9 1/2 -10. It is crazy. Lagoon!!!

Lagoon!!!! It was so amazing. Tayli, my friend, and I decided that we were going to Lagoon a while ago but we never really got around to it. So one day we remembered and we set a date to go. We went down this Friday night and stay at my Aunt Carol's place. My parents went to dinner and Carol left for a concert. So Tayli and I had the home to ourselves! Since we were on a trip we had gotten drinks and chips and goodies.....so we ate those ane made videos on Tayli's camera! Soon everyone came home. We watched one of my favorite funny movie called "Glass Bottom Boat." After that we went to bed. In the morning we got ready to go and Carol decided to come with us. we drove there and got tickets then went in. It was awesome! No one was there because it was cold and rainy but we didn't care about the rain we just wanted to get on the rides!

I went on Wicked for the first time and I loved it! Carol did too! Tayli and I went on every ride we wanted to twice. We went on the Spider and Colossus 3 times though. Over all it was a fun trip. I hope to do it again sometime soon.
